Henrique Antonietto · Corporate Legal Manager at Junto Seguros
Founded more than 30 years ago under the name J. Malucelli Seguradora, Junto Seguros is the first digital surety insurance company in Brazil. A leader in the country, its values are to be simple, safe and transformative.
However, the internal flows around supplier registration and contract management were neither simple nor completely safe, and Legal had an enormous will to be transformative. That is why, in 2020, the company decided to find a solution on the market and chose Linte. The account comes from Henrique Antonietto, the company’s Corporate Legal Manager:
Every process was manual: from supplier onboarding to due diligence, contract review and signatures. And the problem is that there was no control. We could not extract indicators, dates, SLAs and so on.
One of the main characteristics of Linte that caught the attention of the Junto team, and that was decisive for the success of the partnership, was the fact that the tool is customizable. Henrique recalls that Legal took the lead and brought in every area involved to design together what that end-to-end flow should look like. “There would be no point in going to the market and picking up off-the-shelf software that would not adapt to our needs, and eventually we would end up even more frustrated”, he says.
Instead of a manual flow, we would have an automated flow that does not adapt to our routine. So that did not work for us. And Linte came to match that expectation and cover 100% of the flow we designed.
Henrique reports that, after a series of improvements, the automated flow today starts with supplier registration through a link on the corporate site and goes all the way to Linte’s integration with the software Junto Seguros uses to pay suppliers, including variations such as forms in English and Spanish for international suppliers, for instance. “We like to say the system is in constant mutation, always improving and adapting to what we are creating”, he adds.
Thinking about the advantages the Linte rollout brought to the company as a whole, Henrique lists 5 main aspects, highlighting the many improvements implemented in the system since the partnership began in May 2020:
Henrique highlights the contracting matrix listed above in item 3, in which the platform itself, through customization and joint work with Junto’s Risk Management area, suggests certain clauses in a standardized way based on the type of contract being drafted. “Depending on the analyst and the process, we could have different opinions, but with the contracting matrix we have a single opinion defined in the system and we start from a single baseline”, he says.
Another point on the list of advantages worth highlighting is the SLA reduction. Henrique recalls that, before the Linte rollout, it was much harder to track the time spent on each task:
Now in 2023 we have a response time for the other areas up to 66% shorter compared to 2021. And as for average formalization times, we could take up to 45 days and today, depending on the contract type, we can formalize a request in less than 5 days.
A law graduate from PUC-PR in 2013, Henrique had a brief stint at a law firm but soon found his place in the corporate world: “I fell in love with this world”, he recalls. After working at two banks, he is now Legal Manager at Junto Seguros, working on contracts, litigation, strategic advisory and the products offered to clients.
In June of this year, the work developed by Henrique with the professionals in his area and with the support of Linte was certified in the 7th Best Practices in Legal Department Management Award, created and organized by Intelijur. “It was the cherry on top of this project of automating the supplier contracting process together with Linte”, he comments.
He points out that, beyond the value the Linte rollout brought to the company, the project also earned market recognition: “With the gains we had in SLAs, in deadlines, in centralizing the steps, in time and in automatic template generation, we were one of the certified practices, which makes us very proud”.
We hope this is only the beginning! We want new awards, new creations and new innovations to go further and further, always thinking about intellectual work, leaving to the system what can be automated and using our time and legal expertise for what is really necessary.
